NITORI Holdings, a Japanese company listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, operates multiple manufacturing facilities in the world. For one of its Vietnam production sites, HC WoodTech supplied a QCM QMJ175M4 AI Intelligent Longitudinal Optimizing Saw Line with a robotic loading system. The line is used to process beech wood, combining automated feeding with optimized longitudinal cutting for furniture production.
The QMJ175M4 uses vision scanning to evaluate boards and plan cutting patterns that improve usable wood recovery. Beyond this beech wood application, it can also help process black walnut boards with numerous visible marks and defects, where careful cutting decisions are especially valuable. Under suitable material and operating conditions, the system can reach approximately 55 m³ in an eight-hour shift. Actual output depends on wood species, board dimensions and cutting requirements.
HC WoodTech engineers spent nearly 20 days at the NITORI site installing, commissioning and fine-tuning the line.
