Highlights
The MJ3971AX300 Horizontal Band Saw is designed for efficient resawing of solid wood into thinner boards. It is suitable for pine, fir, oak, poplar, rosewood and other hardwoods and softwoods, including square timber and thick solid wood stock. The machine combines a 15 kW main saw motor, Ø711 mm saw wheels, hydraulic variable-speed feeding and digital thickness positioning. Its narrow saw kerf and stable conveying system are intended to improve cutting efficiency and accuracy while reducing labor and valuable wood loss. The same MJ3971A series is positioned by Surpass for high-efficiency solid wood resawing with smooth cutting surfaces and reduced downstream processing.
- Maximum cutting size: 300 × 300 mm
- Blade-to-worktable distance: 3–200 mm
- Conveyor belt width: 285 mm
- Saw wheel diameter: Ø711 mm
- Main saw motor: 15 kW
- Hydraulic feed speed: Up to 18 m/min
- Saw kerf: 1.2–2.2 mm

Features
- Suitable for resawing square timber, thick boards and solid wood into thinner boards.
- Hydraulic variable-speed feeding provides stable material movement for different wood species and cutting requirements.
- Digital thickness positioning helps operators set repeatable board thickness quickly and accurately; this configuration is used across Surpass’s MJ3971A series.
- Automatic blade tension compensation helps maintain blade stability during continuous production.
- Narrow kerf and smooth cut surfaces help improve material recovery and reduce secondary planing requirements.
